One of the more popular sections of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail (BST) mainly due to it proximity to Downtown Salt Lake. Riding season is approximately from April to November, but it can be riden at times during the winter - depending on temperature and snowpack (don\'t ride muddy trails!!).
Most people ride this section from Dry Creek to City Creek, but it can also be riden the opposite direction for a bit more of a challenge. If you choose to do it in this direction, be wary, descending Dry Creek can be a bit of a challenge on its own as you can encounter a great deal of uphill traffic. Remember, uphill ALWAYS has the right of way. Be courteous and watch your speed.
For the Dry Creek side, park at Popperton Park (just above Shriners Hospital) and ride up Popperton Park Way until you see an paved trail off to the right - take this to the trailhead. For the City Creek side, park in the dirt pullout area right where the road starts to curve on Bonneville Blvd.
